So you think you can write?
We are excited to see what you have to offer. Modern.DJ is interested in quality journalism. We don’t have a big budget to pay writers (yet) but we do respect your time and effort. We are very interested in your contribution, please read through this section to see if your article or idea qualifies for publishing on Modern.DJ.
Article size and content
Articles form outside sources (such as yourself) are 600-800 word essays. The work should be well written, spell-checked, generally devoid of bias, and original. Imagery should be free and clear in native or web-ready format.
The general format is thesis, supporting information, conclusion. We like sexy titles, so we may rename your article is we think it is boring. You should clearly state the problem or idea you are addressing (thesis) early. The supporting information should underscore the importance of discussing the idea put forward in the thesis. There should be a conclusion, of some sort, and this should not be awkward to forced.
We ask that an article have flow and rhythm, but you don’t have to be William Faulkner, Shakespeare, Herman Melville, or Lord Byron to succeed. You do need to write a decent article.
